Happiness of a Teacher’s Assistant: The Last Day

Today was the last day of school and I had no idea it could be so depressing. I did not anticipate crying as much as I did and I already miss my babies! I know this is what I’m meant to do, but teaching can be pretty heart breaking. The best moment of the day was when Kaden (one of my students) saw me tearing up and gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek. This will most likely be my last Happiness of a Teacher’s Assistant post because I will be doing school full time and will not beย here anymore, but I hope to start posting my experiences of getting my bachelors in elementary education. Eventually, I’ll be able to begin blogging about the Happiness of a Teacher ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Happiness of a Teacher’s Assistant: This Week

Here’s a peek at my week at school (actually last week).

The picture in the top left hand corner is of the amazing food we had for living museum day. Most of the food here was for Ancient Egypt. The Vans picture is of one of my students awesome style. I envy his Vans! The last picture (on the right) is of a mustache left in the school parking lot. I figured it was pretty picture worthy. Hope your week was great!

Happiness of a Teacher’s Assistant: Number 6

6.) This week was teacher appreciation week, which involved lots of amazing, delicious food! On the last day, one of the mom’s brought us these beautiful and scrumptious cupcakes from Crave Cupcakes. Thank you to all you teachers out there who are making a difference in the lives of so many kids!

DIY Project: A Gift for Veejay :D

My favorite blog, hands down, is A Beautiful Mess. Elsie’s fashion and DIY genius are super inspirational and I’m always itching to make something every time I visit her blog. My fabulous friend Veejay’s birthday was coming up so I decided to make her this cute fox pillow that I saw on A Beautiful Mess. Here’s how it turned out! ๐Ÿ™‚

1) First I sewed on the snout, heart, and buttons.

2) Then I began to sew both sides of the pillow together. Make sure that you sew it with the outside facing in. Leave an opening at the bottom to pull it back right side out and to put in the stuffing.

3.) After I finished, I pulled the pillow right side out and began to stuff it.

4.) Finally, I sewed up the hole with needle and thread.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VEEJ!!!!!
